Six months ago, Naperville North students Ishika Sadhukhan, Mary Crossett, and Ellie Gerner were strangers. Now, they’re business partners.
Together they created Polar Pocket, a device that ends the age-old problem of tangled jewelry. The user places their jewelry in the device and secures it shut to “freeze” it into place.

Students at Vestavia Hills High School will have an opportunity not only to develop their own business ideas but also to present them to possible investors to earn seed funding thanks to a new partnership with INCubatoredu.

INCubatoredu is a course offered for the first time this year to juniors at Mount Carmel. The course offers an authentic entrepreneurship experience as students divide into teams, develop their own product, device or service, and turn it into a business.

The initial kernel of an idea was that students need to learn about entrepreneurship sooner so they can hit the ground running. “The goal was to change the trajectory of student lives in this generation. We weren’t going to be patient enough to wait for the community to catch up,” said Dr. Tom Leonard.  

Beginning in the fall of 2021 The Colony High School will be home to the second Lewisville ISD INCubatoredu program.

Much like the program at Lewisville High School, the instructor and guest speakers and mentors will teach students about all things business – patents, market research, business law, how to be successful and more.

Camryn Eickenberg and Anthony Pendolino came up with the idea of GOAT Gifts in their business incubator class at Naperville Central High School just a few months before the pandemic hit. Instead of crumbling under the pressure of the coronavirus crisis, GOAT Gifts rose to the occasion and began giving back to their community with a simple gesture that has helped the business grow exponentially.

(BLOOMINGTON) – The Mill and the Greater Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Monroe County Community School Corporation are hosting a Student Pitch Showcase.

Students in the INCubatoredu entrepreneurship program at The Academy of Science & Entrepreneurship (ASE) will present their first business pitches and receive feedback from judges.
